Organisation: Distraction Community Youth Project


Location: Banbury


Position: Volunteer


Commitment: Flexible hours 

Distraction Community Youth Project is dedicated to empowering generations to make a difference through young people in their communities. We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to join our vibrant team and contribute to the betterment of our community. 

Responsibilities 

Engage with Youth: Facilitate workshops and activities designed to inspire and empower young people. 

Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to young individuals, helping them to set and achieve personal goals. 

Community Outreach: Assist in organizing and participating in community events that promote the project’s mission. 

Administrative Support: Help with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and event planning, to ensure smooth operation. 

Program Development: Collaborate with team members to develop and improve programs tailored to the needs of the youth. 

Qualifications 

Passion for Youth Empowerment: A genuine interest in working with young people and making a positive impact in their lives. 

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire young individuals. 

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve common goals. 

Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to varying tasks and schedules. 

Experience: Previous experience in education, youth work, or community service is beneficial but not required.

What We Can Offer

Alternative provision for school refusers: offsite engagement to encourage educational opportunities, personalised to each pupils' needs. There are Curriculum & Enrichment offers for both KS3 & KS4, as well as Level 2 & 3 qualification opportunities.
