At Distraction, It is important to us that parents and young people have full awareness of our policies, and can properly get to know us before meeting us. This also applies for any local partners would like to work with us. Trust is vital when it comes to young people, so we have provided many different resources for you to read.

Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy
Distraction community and youth project is committed to providing a safe environment for young people. The Child Protection Policy and Procedures reflects this commitment and aims to ensure that all concerns about care and protection of children and young people are effectively managed.
Complaints & Grievance Policy
The Distraction Community and Youth Project recognises that volunteers have the right to raise grievances about any matter related to their volunteering (this could be in relation to another volunteer, a member of the paid staff, or the manner in which they are being treated by the Distraction Youth and Community Project.
Social Media Policy
Distraction Community and Youth Project will be using social media to contact, inform and interact with our community. The following policy outlines what actions are appropriate and what is unacceptable.
Worker Code of Conduct

Young Person Code of Conduct
In order for Distraction Community and Youth Project to be an enjoyable experience, we have devised a code of conduct that all young people need to agree upon. This ensures that Distraction is a welcoming, safe environment where everyone is clear on what is expected of members, as well as what is unacceptable.
